discussing Credit transfer and other
potential linkage with Metropolitan
University. |
Dr Geff Green and Mr Patrick Wichert expressed
extreme interest to discuss this idea with the
Faculty Director and the International Office of
Sheffield Hallam
University. Dr Geff Green stated, "I think
Sheffield Hallam University would be very
interested in developing links with Metropolitan
University and possibly to collaborate on the
development of courses in the future."
Dr Green further added "I also agree that more
generally, it makes sense to forge closer
academic links with Bangladesh to match the
strong cultural and business links which already
exist through established Bengali communities in
this country."
Professor Dr. Abdul Rob will be pressing for
accreditation of all courses that are delivered
at the Metropolitan University. Dr Green and Mr.
Wichert suggested as they belong to the Faculty
of Science, they would like to proceed to obtain
authorization from the Faculty Dean to trial out
a novel degree in
Multimedia and Communication Design.
Mr Wichert stated: ‘Students in this course will
be able to build interactive web sites and
create animated multimedia presentations for
many different purposes. Also graduates can
provide expertise in more conventional design
areas such as architecture, product design and
graphic design.
Dr Green and Mr Wichert suggested that the
Metropolitan University
should undertake a preliminary feasibility study
to determine the probable interest for this
course. During the same day Professor Dr. Abdul
Rob and Dr Abdul Hoque also toured the
Biomedical Department of the Sheffield Hallam
University and had a fruitful discussion for
linkage with the Faculty representative.
