Message from the Chairman, Board of Governors

Convocation is a landmark event for both the graduating students and the university. It gives me immense pleasure to see Metropolitan University organizing its 1st Convocation. I take this opportunity to extend heartiest congratulations to the graduates and postgraduates, their parents and guardians, fellow members of the Board of Governors, the faculty and the staff whose combined efforts have brought Metropolitan University to its present stage and made this signature convocation possible.

Metropolitan University was established with the mission of providing quality tertiary education to the students coming from middle and lower income strata of the society. It had the accompanying vision of creating a seat of academic excellence where students would be equipped not only with essential knowledge and expertise but also with deep love for their country, people and roots. We believe to have traversed a substantial distance in the right direction but we still have a long way to go to meet the ever-expanding horizon of excellence. We solicit cooperation of all.

Congratulations to the graduating students once again!

Long live Metropolitan University. May God bless us all.

Dr. Toufique Rahman Chowdhury
Chairman, Board of Governors
