Biography

Muhtasim Fuad Ahmed is a Lecturer in the Department of Economics at Metropolitan University, Sylhet, where he teaches courses in business and economics with an emphasis on building practical, analytical, and problem-solving skills among students. His academic training in Finance and Banking, combined with industry experience as an Operations Manager in the education sector and earlier work in accounting, allows him to connect financial theory with real-world decision-making in business settings. 
His teaching and research interests center on sustainable finance, ESG integration, and how financial decision-making can support responsible and inclusive growth. He is actively developing his research profile in areas such as macro-financial linkages, exchange rates, and the role of ESG in corporate finance, with the goal of contributing to impactful scholarship that informs both academic debate and policy discussions.
In the classroom, he strongly believes in interactive, student-centered learning where lectures, cases, and projects encourage students to think entrepreneurially, apply concepts to local and global contexts, and develop skills that translate into careers in finance, business, and beyond.

o Investing and managing an online business, involving client management, wholesaler and
customer relations, and digital entrepreneurship.
